Workshops, contests and around-the-clock beading together!
Usually, Beadalong is a bead retreat in Stockholm. This year it is not possible to meet each other in person. Instead, we will have a fun digital bead event that will take place 25-27 September 2020.You participate through your own computer/iPad. We will have workshops throughout the weekend that you can sign up for if you want to. Each workshop will have about 12 students/class. Some workshops will be in Swedish and others in English, as we have a lot of Swedish participants but also international teachers and participants. Sign up opens 31/5 at 4 pm CET!
The program will contain workshops, gatherings with raffles where you can win prizes from our sponsors, "hang-out-rooms" where you can bead with your old and new friends and a coffee room. We love our Swedish fika!
If you want to, you can also enter our challanges before and during the weekend.
The workshops for the junior section (kids between 11-15 years old) will be in Swedish only.
Who can participate?
You don't need a lot of beading experience, but you have to be 16 years or more and be able to bead indepently.
Juniors 11-15 years need to know Swedish to be able to understand the junior-workshops.
Where?
It is all online. You join in from where you and your computor/iPad are.
What does it cost?
130 SEK for participants 16 years or more. In addition to this you pay for each workshop you want to attend (tutorials and maybe kit) directly to the teacher.
50 SEK for children 11-15 years. In addition to this you pay for each workshop you want to attend (tutorials and maybe kit) directly to the teacher. NOTE that all workshops for juniors are held in Swedish.
As a participant of digital Beadalong you will get a whole weekend with creativity, laughter, new inspiration, a chance to learn more and try something new. If you want you can join contests, take digital workshops. In addition, there will be "hang out-rooms" in both English and Swedish so you can chat with old and new friends who share your passion for beads and jewelry making.
Organizer
Kerstin Kallin has been organizing Beadalong since 2015. She runs the company Kronbruden (The Crownbride) Her speciality is hair jewelry for weddings, but she also teach classes, design and make beading tutorials and make jewelry our of repurposed materials. She also is a member of Beadsmith inspiration squad.
